I am super happy. I just placed an order for a new Tea Brewer at Mei Leaf in London.

Because I subscribed to their You Tube channel I heard about their special sale. Only today there was a 25% discount on everything on the website. And I was already thinking about ordering the connoisseur tea brewer. This was the perfect opportunity to do so. And while I was at it I also ordered some sample bags of tea. 🙂
I ordered: Amber Gaba Oolong: Organic Oolong made from Chin Shin Da Mo cultivar and processed in nitrogen to increase GABA to 200mg per 100g. Fragrant aroma of wine gums. Muscat flavour with a summer rain on hot stone freshness and smoky sugar honeyed finish.
Ruby Gaba: Special nitrogen oxidised tea from Taiwan. Roasted coconut and burnt pine depth with a rosehip acidity and lingering eucalyptus sweetness
Eastern Beauty: Highly prized Taiwan oolong with a unique flavour profile of muscatel, honey and citrus. A satisfying oolong which has been oxidised longer giving it a sweeter delicacy similar to a darjeeling.
I wanted to order even more but decided I wanted to stay under €30, including postage and Packinging as I also want to pre-order Thunder’s new album 🙂 I am particular looking forward to the last one as I love darjeeling. But I also love muscatel. But having said that, they all sound very good. And with the new brewer I can infuse the leaves up to 10 to 12 times and they will take you on a taste journey every time you infuse the leaves.
At the moment I am drinking White Dragon (Bai long) .
This tea gives a light yellow infusion, sweet and delicate. Slightly stronger than regular white tea but smoother than green tea. I also find that the tea is tasting a bit roasted. I have to say it is one of my favorites. The combination of the silver tips with the leaves of green tea makes it a real pleasure to drink.
To make is easier to describe the taste of certain tea I found a flavor wheel:

I also love the look of the leafs:
The first picture is the difference between the dry and the wet leaves. It is a nice combination of white tea leaves and green tea. The other one shows the wet leaves. Expanded they look very bright and clean.

And in fact it is tasting as bright as it looks. I find this tea perfect to chill in the evening. It does give you a satisfied feeling so I would not suggest this tea before dinner. I think if you drink this during dinner you might eat less as it is refreshing and it gives you that feeling of being quite full. The more infusions you do the more nutty and roasted the taste it. But without losing it freshness. Overall a very nice tea that changes with every infusion. I am giving it the thumbs up.
If I have to rate it on a scale of 10 I would give this one a 7 because it got some side effects besides tasting very nice.
